Gertie the Dog needs a home

Meet Gertie, she’s a 9-month-old fun loving pup looking for the perfect family! She is potty and kennel trained and knows how to sit, shake and currently working on learning how to stay! She loves her treats and don’t forget about chew bones, those could keep her busy forever! She would do best in a home with older kids as she has high energy and may play a little too rough for younger kids. She loves to lay at the end of the bed at night but is always there to wake you up in the morning when she’s ready to play! She’s got adorable floppy ears and the sweetest puppy face although she’s sad she has not found her permanent home yet!

Foster Pupdate: This loving girl, Gertie, has yet to find her fur-ever home. Gertie is about 11 months old and she’s a lab/terrier mix, she’s super friendly and loves other dogs. And she’ll definitely find ways to make you laugh with her fun-loving personality! 


She hopes to meet you soon!



Prior to adoption, I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked and microchipped.

Happy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5 and Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30. We are located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday and 5:30-8:30 every Wednesday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.



Home visits (video tours or in person) are required for all dog adoptions. 

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
